Campo del Cielo refers to a group of iron meteorites and the region in Argentina where they were discovered. The craters, believed to be four to five thousand years old, were reported to the general public in 1576 but were already well-known to the indigenous peoples. These craters and the surrounding areas contain numerous fragments of an iron meteorite, with approximately 100 tonnes of fragments recovered in total, making it the largest meteorite find by mass.
